Veterinary Technician

Animal Care at Twin Lakes Center is seeking to hire an experienced veterinary technician that is compassionate and dependable.

We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our team. Are you a task-oriented team player with a positive attitude? Do you enjoy communicating with clients and giving excellent care to patients?

Full-Time with a 4-5 day work week.

Our clinic is open M-F 7:00am - 3:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm.

Our shifts are M-F 6:45am to 3:30pm and Saturday 7:30-2:30pm.

We are a small, well-established practice with 2 doctors, in the Southside area of Jacksonville. We offer PTO, Scrub Allowance, Schedule Flexibility, Pet Discounts, and more! Health Care benefits are not currently offered.

Requirements:

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician (required).
• Must have computer skills, familiarity with Cornerstone is desired.
• Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations.
• Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Surgery, Anesthetic, Dental experience REQUIRED. If you need assistance completing a skill set in one of these areas, we are happy to train.

Responsibilities

Assisting the veterinarians with pet care, laboratory procedures (we use Idexx machines), digital radiology, client communication, medical procedures, accurate record-keeping, pharmacy, knowledge and maintenance of instruments and equipment; daily treatment of surgical and/or outpatient pets; dental procedures and surgical procedures.

We are offering a starting rate between $17 and $22 per hour, and wage is commensurate with experience.

• Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred)
